The experience
This is not a vending machine that prints pictures
The camera is a DSLR, not a webcam behind glass. The lighting is professional softbox lighting, set for the room you are actually in. The backdrop is chosen with you rather than pulled out of a bag.
The overlay is designed for your event, so the photo your guests take home looks like it belongs to your night — a Hollywood theme should look like Hollywood, not like a generic frame with your names dropped in. The same care goes into the on-screen transitions, the virtual attendant your guests actually interact with, and the gallery afterwards.
Attended throughout, every time. Someone is there to help guests, keep the line moving, watch the light and adjust the setup when it needs it. You are not renting a piece of equipment and hoping.
The prints, if you have them
On Gold and Platinum, guests leave with 4×6 prints presented in gold-embossed black paper frames, in black envelopes. If you want the envelopes finished differently — a sticker, a monogram, something that matches your stationery — ask, and we will talk about it.
We care what the finished thing looks like in someone’s hand. That is the whole point of a keepsake.
Something a bit different
The AI Photo Experience adds three custom styles, designed for your event before the day — a western, a film set, whatever suits the theme. At the Canada Day event guests came out of it as part of the scenery, moose and bears included. You can see how that turned out in the galleries.
Outdoors
If your event is outside, read this first
We can absolutely set up outdoors, and we do. We will also tell you honestly that indoors gives us more control over how your photos turn out.
Outdoors brings variables: sunlight, light that changes through the evening, weather, temperature, where the power is, and shadows that move while your guests are standing in them.
So we plan for it. We choose the booth’s position in advance and work out how the sun will track across your event. On an external power source, expect roughly ten minutes an hour spent adjusting aperture, lighting and placement to keep the photos consistent — more often when it is cold.
That is not a warning. It is what the attendant is doing while your guests are enjoying themselves, and it is the difference between photos that hold up and photos that do not.
