I'm Danielle Miller โ€” born and raised in Prince George, BC. Previously known as Danielle Joiner.

My roots here run deep. My grandfather worked at Lakeland Mills most of his life. My other grandfather served as a captain at the Air Force Base โ€” he's now retired and living in Nanaimo. My nana worked in the radar room there. And my grandmother was the first woman to ever work the logging scales in British Columbia. She's part of Prince George history.

My grandparents were contributors to Prince George โ€” not in a "they built this town" way, but in a "we all do our part" way. They believed in community. In showing up. In participating. That's what shaped me.

"This place is in my blood. Prince George matters to me."

Fourteen Years Away

In 2005, I left Prince George and spent the next fourteen years living across the United States โ€” Washington, Oregon, California, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, and Alaska. I built expertise in outside sales, event planning, marketing, and nonprofit community work.

I volunteered everywhere I went: AKC dog shows and events, Wardog Memorial in Colorado, and organizations focused on community connection and service. I've always believed that showing up for people โ€” in their moments, in their causes โ€” is what makes a community real.

At WorkBC, I spent five years as a job developer, where I refined and streamlined the provincial wage subsidy process. I became the top sales person in the country for a company I believed in because they shared my values: no gatekeeping, inclusive conversations with everyone โ€” including men.

Coming Home

In 2019, I came home to Prince George.

In 2025, when health changes made traditional corporate work unmanageable, I made a decision: instead of stepping back, I'd step differently. Ravens Restraint โ€” an adult wellness education and e-commerce company โ€” was born.

I was inspired by Sue Johansson from Sunday Night Sex Show: someone direct, grounded, and completely unashamed to talk about things people actually need to talk about. I built Ravens Restraint on that same principle. No shame. No gatekeeping. Honest, inclusive conversations about wellness and pleasure โ€” for everyone.

"I used to joke at WorkBC: Danielle knows a guy for pretty much everything. That's still true."

Why Raven's Occasions

Raven's Occasions grew out of Ravens Restraint's needs. I needed a way to draw people into my events without spending thousands on swag that ends up in a drawer. So I bought a DSLR mirror photo booth instead.

And then I realized something bigger: local businesses need memorable experiences at their events โ€” not another pen with a logo on it. When your guests walk away with a photo that has your brand on it, they remember you. That's marketing that actually works.

As a mother of five, I've attended and hosted more birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings, and celebrations than I can count. I know what makes an event feel welcoming โ€” what makes guests feel seen and included. I bring that energy to every booking.

And if you need something for your event that falls outside the usual โ€” don't hesitate to ask. I might be able to source it or connect you with someone who can. That's just how I operate.

Who I Am

I'm a Canadian, woman-owned, disabled business owner. I show up for your events โ€” your weddings, your corporate gatherings, your celebrations, your milestones โ€” with integrity, professionalism, and the highest regard for what your brand and your day mean to you.

People have trusted me in Prince George for years because I deliver. My word matters. That doesn't change.

Welcome to Raven's Occasions. Welcome home.

Let's Create Something Memorable
